Abstract
Objective: To describe the level of occupational stress risk in a nurse at Phu Yen General Hospital.
Method: The descriptive cross-sectional study design, the object of study was 281 clinical nurses at Phu Yen General Hospital. Subjects selffilled stress information on an Expanded Nursing Stress Scale (ENSS). The level of stress risk is classified into 03 groups: low, medium and high. Results: The nurses in the study group had a moderate level of stress risk. Out of 8 problem groups, 4 groups had low stress risk levels, 4 problem groups had an average stress risk levels. The lowest was when there were issues related to nursing colleagues (X ±SD = 1,82 ± 0,36), issues that conflict with the doctor (X ±SD = 1,90 ± 0,44). It was highest when there was a problem with the patient and his family (X ±SD = 2,45 ± 0,46).
Conclusion: The level of stress risk of nurses working at Phu Yen General Hospital was at an average level. The lowest was when there were issues related to nursing colleagues ( X ±SD = 1,82 ± 0,36). It was highest when there is a problem with the patient and his family (X ±SD = 2,45 ± 0,46).
