Abstract
Objectives: To describe the work-related quality of life among nurses and identify associated factors at Cua Dong General Hospital in 2025.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 135 nurses/midwives/allied health staff with ≥ 6 months of experience. Data were collected using Brooks’ 42-item Quality of Nursing Work Life questionnaire. Statistical analyses were performed in SPSS 20.0 using descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests.
Results: The overall work-related quality of life score averaged 197.09 ± 20.49, with 81.5% of nurses classified at a high level. The “Work environment and professional development opportunities” domain had the highest proportion of high scores (97.8%), followed by “Work context” (83.7%). Gender (p = 0.027) and working department (p = 0.028) were significantly associated with work-related quality of life.
Conclusion: The majority of nurses reported a high level of quality of work life. The hospital should strengthen measures to support work–life balance and adjust policies according to the specific characteristics of each department in order to further enhance the professional quality of work life for the nursing workforce.
