Abstract
Objective: To investigate sleep disturbances among patients undergone breast cancer surgery.
Method: A cross-sectional descriptive method with an analysis with a sample size of 120 including the patients who had undergoing breast cancer surgery in the Department of Breast-Gynecology at Nghe An oncology hospital.
Results: There are 100% of patients had postoperative sleep disturbances: Mild sleep disturbances were 5.8%, Moderate sleep disturbances were 51.7% and severe sleep disturbances were 42.5%.
Conclusion: Sleep disturbances have occurred commonly among patients who had breast cancer surgery. The nurse need to concern about the sleep disturbances and helping patients improve the quality of sleep in order to improve the quality of care and treatment.
