Abstract
Objective: To describe level of childbirth self-efficacy in pregnant women at A Thai Nguyen hospital in 2019 - 2020 and factors relate to childbirth self-efficacy.
Method: Cros- sectional study from October 2019 to May 2020, among 195 pregnancies between 35 and 41 weeks possible to give birth by vaginal delivery. Preganants were asked to complete a modification Childbirth self-efficacy inventory (CBSEI- 32) questionnaire.
Results: Results showed that childbirth self-efficacy was correlated with fear of childbirth, knowledge, maternal support and expected outcome at p -value < 0,05.
Conclusion: Childbirth self-efficacy of pregnance at Thai Nguyen hospital is at medium level, and interventions are needed to help pregnant women having confident to give birth by vaginal delivery
