Abstract
Objectives: The study was conducted to describe respiratory care of nurses for patients with invasive mechanical ventilation at Namdinh general hospital.
Methods: A cross-sectional description was conducted on 16 nurses at intensive care and poison control department of Namdinh general hospital who took care of respiratory for patients with invasive mechanical ventilation of from January 2018 to April 2018.
Results: 72% of observations were female, 43.7% of subjects have intermediate level, 37% of participants have working experience >= 10 years, 34.8% of nurses were on duty. Among the group of patients, 73.8% were male, 20.4% were on voluntary treatment room, 16.1% were used mechanical ventilation >= 5 days. 76.64% of participants pass the procedures of sputum suction , 30.84% pass the procedures of flap vibration, 68.22% pass the procedures of oral care, 51.4% pass the procedures of caring tracheostomy tube, 72.9% pass the procedures of caring endotracheal tube.
Conclusion: The rate of respiratory care performance was quite high.
