Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the pain level of the patients during the first three days after thyroid surgery at the surgical department, Thai Nguyen A Hospital in 2017.
Method: A descriptive study was done on 112 patients with thyroid surgery at the General Surgical Department of Thai Nguyen A Hospital.
Results: The average values of pain after surgery at the time of evaluation of the first day, the second day, the third day were4.19 ± 2.05; 3.23 ± 1.07; 2.12 ± 1.05. In particular, the average score of pain at the time of first day assessment had the highest score and decreased gradually in the following days.
Conclusion: In the first three days after surgery, the patient’s pain level decreases. The most pain on the first day, descending on day 2 and less pain on the third day after surgery.
