Abstract
Objective: To evaluating the improvement of Quality of Life of the patients after inguinal hernia surgery at Surgical Department in Nam Dinh General Hospital in 2019.
Method: A descriptive study is conducted on 71 patients after inguinal hernia surgery and applying SF-36 questionnaire to evaluate the improvement of these patients’ Quality of Life.
Results: The research showed that the medium score of quality of life of patients before surgery is31,61 ± 6,94 equivalent to the low quality of life, this score which after surgery is 56,14 ± 7,37, equivalent to the medium quality of life.
Conclusion: Quality of life one month after surgery significant higher than its before surgery, however, this score is not high. Therefore, it is necessary to continue maintaining care interventions for patients, especially physical caring.
