Abstract
Objective: To analyze several factors associated with work motivation among healthcare workers at Vinmec Times City International Hospital in 2023.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 400 healthcare workers who had been employed for at least six months at Vinmec Times City International Hospital in 2023. A standardized questionnaire on work motivation and job satisfaction among healthcare workers, developed by the Hanoi University of Public Health, was utilized. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 with descriptive frequency and percentage tables, and the Chi-square test was applied to determine associations at a 5% significance level.
Results: The proportion of healthcare workers with good work motivation was relatively high (86.7%). Factors significantly associated with work motivation included age, marital status, being the main income earner in the family, professional qualification, years of experience, type of employment contract, satisfaction with working conditions, satisfaction with supervisors and colleagues, and satisfaction with income.
Conclusion: Healthcare workers at Vinmec Times City International Hospital demonstrated a relatively high level of work motivation. The hospital should continue to maintain this positive rate while paying attention to employees’ expectations and making appropriate adjustments to working conditions when necessary.
