Abstract
Objective: To describe the current situation and identify some factors related to thenutritional status of Head - Face - Neck cancer patients.
Method: Research conducted on 100 people with head and neck cancer at Nghe An Oncology Hospital from January to March 2020 by cross-sectional descriptive research method. Data were collected using PG-SGA toolkit, 24-hour diet and data processing using SPSS 20.0 software.
Results: The nutritional status of patients according to PG-SGA: 17% of patients have nutritional status PG-SGA A, 54% of patients nutritional status PG-SGA B, 29% of patients nutritional status PG-SGA C. The habits of tobacco / pipe tobacco use, nutrition research are related to PG-SGA nutritional status with p <0.05. Disease treatment method, disease stage, 24-hour diet energy were associated with nutritional status of PG-SGA with p <0.05.
Conclusion: Most patients have malnutrition. Tobacco/pipe tobacco use habits, nutrition research related to PG-SGA nutritional status with p <0.05. Treatment of disease, disease stage, 24-hour energy intake are related to PG-SGA nutritional status with p <0.05
