Abstract
Objective: Explore the need to training some competencies nursing students need to be trained in nursing master program of Namdinh University of Nursing and HoChiMinh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy during 2017 – 2018 and desire to be specialized training.
Method: A cross-sectional study with self-report on curriculum, need to training and some competencies on output standards of nursing master programs in Namdinh University of Nursing and HoChiMinh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy during 2017 – 2018.
Results: The need to training on 4 groups of competencies was necessary and very necessary trained (95%). Some students suggested that added some competencies such as emotional competency, professional English competency, IT competency, sastistic and present research data ...
Conclusion: Four groups of competency with 30 skills should be continuous performed on nursing master program. However, it is necessary to add more contents on program to help student apply the knowledge on writing the research thesis and improve the professional skills in future
