Abstract

Objective: To describe the current status of academic advisory task at Nam Dinh University of Nursing in 2018.

Method: Cross-sectional descriptive Study, Survey of 44 academic advisors and over 370 full time students including Bachelor of Nursing Course 10, 11, 12, 13; Associate Bachelor of Nursing Course 17,18 and Associate Bachelor of Midwifery Course 5,6.

Results: The survey results show that: 98.1% of students received advice from academic advisors, of which the most consulted area (over 90%) is training and birth tablets. 100% of the academic advisors advise students to register for each semester to complete the study plan. 80% of academic advisors are enthusiastic, responsible, helpful and answer questions of students in the learning process.

Conclusion: Students are quite satisfied with the advisory activities of academic advisors. However, the academic advisory capacity of academic advisors has not met the needs of students.
