Abstract

Objective: A description of the nursing resources at General Hospital of Thanh Oai District, Hanoi, in 2018.

Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted between December 2017 and June 2018 on 86 nurses who were working at the Clinical Departments under the General Hospital of Thanh Oai District.

Results: The percentage of nurses who had sufficient knowledge on 3 tests, 5 comparisons, and 5 rights as well as initial emergency management was relatively high (91,9%). The prevalence of sufficient practice was higher among nurses with practicing nursing techniques, nursing management as well as patient consultation, while the practice of catheterization (72,1%), enema (70,9%), tourniquet (87,2%) was quite low.

Conclusion: This study emphasized the need for implementation of solutions to education, training and additional knowledge and practice of nursing in associated with training on clinical practice.
